Budget and Rental Terms with Markson Pianos
We understand that budget is one of the most crucial considerations when it comes to buying and renting pianos. However, our flexible rental terms and competitive pricing ensure you can access high-quality instruments without the upfront investment of making a purchase.

Our minimum (payable) period for a long-term hire is 6 months, with the piano hire fees and the delivery and collection charges payable in advance and by Standing Order. This is a rollover contract, and you will be invoiced in advance for subsequent periods after the initial contract period has finished. Please note that the minimum hire period for new or silent pianos is 6 months.

Can I buy the piano?
Yes! We offer a very attractive Option to Purchase Scheme whereby a percentage of the hire fees you have paid can be offset against buying either the piano you are hiring or any other piano. The maximum rebate will be equivalent to 6 month’s hire fees.

Should you decide to take up the option to buy the piano you are hiring, we will also deduct the collection fee. These deductions will be made from the original purchase price quoted at the commencement of hire.

Cost Effective
Whether you’re a business, academic institution, student or parent, we understand that purchasing a piano can require a significant financial commitment that isn’t always feasible. Our long-term piano hire offers a cost-effective solution that allows you to experience having a high-quality piano without committing to a purchase. During this time, you can discover whether the piano is the right fit for your needs and aspirations, and only then, consider a purchase.

Our prices for hiring a piano start from as little as £35.00 per month, with piano hire fees being paid initially in advance for second-hand pianos for the first 6 months. After that, hire fees are to be paid against the invoice or by monthly Standing Order.

We do not require a deposit, just the hire fees and the transport charges, and we do not force you to have your piano tuned (though it is highly recommended to ensure pleasure is gained from playing).

There is no direct correlation between the price of the piano and the relative hire fees, but pianos costing around £1500 will have higher fees in the region of £40 per month, whereas pianos costing £4000 would have hire fees of around £80 per month.

Quality Assurance
At Markson Pianos, we have always prided ourselves on being the ‘name to note,’ which is how you know that when you hire a piano from us, you’re accessing instruments of the highest quality.

With every new and used piano that enters our workshop, we ensure it undergoes a full regulation and set-up process, being thoroughly tested to assess whether any parts need repair or replacement.

Each piano will go through at least two in-house tunings whilst under the care of our team and are assessed in our workshop to guarantee its mechanical playability and stability. Once our team are completely satisfied with the instrument’s condition, it will be placed in our long-term hire collection.
