A bit on Calisia pianos
The history of Calisia pianos dates back to the early 1820s, when pianos were built and repaired in workshops in Kalisz. The Polish piano factory Calisia opened in 1947 as a result of the nationalization of the Arnold Fibiger company (established in 1878), following the political changes in Poland after the end of World War II. In 2010, the Polish-Chinese company Vershold bought the rights to the Calisia brand and logo.
